Good News

Good news, we are taking bookings for Leopard Trail and Utswhayelo Kosi Mouth Lodge and Camp

Page 2 – 3:
Leopard Trail

The Leopard Trail is a 4-day/3-night slack-packing, camping hike (but not for long, huts are on their way and should be ready in
2020). Logistically, this is the easiest hike you will ever do! Each day, we transport your bags, tents (while you still need them) and food from one campsite to the next, and we provide all the cooking equipment, plates, cutlery and kettles you will require.
The Leopard Trail is a moderately difficult hike, with the longest day being 22km. The route is designed for people of good hiking fitness. would like to introduce our new logo.

Utshwayelo Kosi Mouth Lodge and Camp

Nestled in the most north-eastern corner of South Africa lies Utshwayelo Kosi Mouth Lodge & Camp. The lodge offers
superb Kosi Bay accommodation and is just a stone’s throw from the pristine beach, where the blue waters of the
iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site flow into the Indian Ocean at the mouth of the Kosi Bay estuary system
near the Mozambique border.  From en-suite luxury tents to en-suite rustic chalets, tented camps and private campsites, our lodge provides the kind of Kosi Bay accommodation you are looking for – and is easily accessible by motor car.  Wade among the iconic traditional Tsonga fish traps from which the lodge takes its name, snorkel in the estuary teeming with tropical fish, go hippo spotting on a scenic boat trip on the lakes or hike through the unspoiled bush.  And when your day is done, unwind under the magnificent ancient Umdoni trees next to the pool or enjoy a sun downer at the Fishtrap bar and plan your adventure for the new day.

Thabaphaswa Mountain Sanctuary

Thabaphaswa conceals, in its magnificent natural setting, one of South Africa’s best-kept architectural and leisure
secrets – an evocative mountain retreat. Designed by the inimitable Heinrich Kammeyer, the retreat’s camps fit into
their specific sites as though custom-made – which they were, of course.

Stamvrug Hiking Trail

Stamvrug hiking trails, which first opened in May 1992, was designed with the assistance of the Centre for Eco Tourism of the University of Pretoria. Since then, thousands of nature lovers have wound their way around and across the rim of a basin which constitutes one of the few unspoilt, unique Waterberg ecosystems. Nine years later, in 2001, the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve was granted international status by UNESCO. It now forms part of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves and is the first Reserve of this kind registered in Southern Africa.

Lesoba Guest Farm and Hiking Trail

Lesoba is situated in one of the most picturesque areas of South Africa. The Sandstone Mountains with their eroded kranses make for a photographic dream. Hidden away among these mountains, rock pools glisten in the sun and the streams that feed them, trickle out of crevices in the rock like tears. Rock overhangs that have given shelter to human and animal alike over centuries abound in the sometimes-inhospitable environment that forms the border with the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.

Mosemane Guest Farm and Hiking Trail

Mosamane is an eco-friendly, self-catering lodge at the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in the Eastern Freestate. Here you can
experience adventure on the Hiking or Mountain biking trail. With the Lodge being an eco-friendly lodge, all the geysers are gas and solar and electricity is generated by solar power. The old barn was renovated and converted into a lovely 5-bedroom Lodge (all ensuite) which can accommodate up to 17 people. All the bedrooms as well as the communal lounge area have fireplaces and hair dryers.

Windy Brow Hiking Trail

The variety of hiking & mountain bike trails on Windy Brow game farm is a delight for all outdoor enthusiasts, from beginners to the most experienced. The farm used to form part of the bigger farming unit of Elandsfontien where the famous Cullinan  Diamond (3106 carats) was discovered.

B’sorah Tented Camp and Hiking Trail

Hidden among the bushveld of the majestic Magaliesberg Mountains, B’sorah is situated near the Hartbeespoort Dam. Despite being so close, you will find yourself in a totally different world – Africa at its bets. The 1600-hectare farm consists of dense bush, open grassland and riverine vegetation which runs along streams flowing into the Skeerpoort river. Game includes kudu,
nyala, waterbuck, impala and blesbuck, as well as warthogs, baboons and nocturnal species such as brown hyena and jackal. Here you can relax in a natural environment where the twitter of birds, the presence of roaming game and the trickle of a gentle stream is all that surrounds you.
