Klein Letaba River, Limpopo

Manukuza Wilderness Camp

General Information & Location

The Manukuza Wilderness Camp is situated on the Klein Letaba River in the Limpopo Province, 5.4km north of its confluence with the well-known “Big Daddy” the Letaba River. The camp is unfenced and looks across the river into the Kruger National Park.  Our piece of paradise is incorporated into this iconic wildlife sanctuary which allows all animals to move naturally through the reserve.  This previously inaccessible piece of land is wild and quite frankly hard to get to. Our remote location isolates us from the outside world and allows you the exclusivity to become immersed in an authentic bushveld environment.  The Letaba River generally carries water throughout the year whereas the seasonal Klein Letaba River seldom flows. The scattered pools of water provide an essential water source for animals including the Big 5.

Facilities:
  • The Manukuza Safari Camp is the ideal location to base yourself.  Head out into the bush or relax around the pool, the entire camp is yours.
  • 4 rooms, sleeping 8 people (3x Queen beds and 2x Single beds) all with their own bathroom facilities and ceiling fans (Linen is provided).
  • The camp is off the grid and powered by solar, cellular coverage is limited.
  • Indoor self-catering kitchen with a gas stove/oven, two large fridge/ freezers (Cutlery and crockery are provided). Cooking can be done indoors or at the outdoor boma area (wood is provided).

Activities:

Guests have the option to tailor their stay.

Walking trails are our passion and main focus; your guides however will be able to offer you sleep-outs where you will have the opportunity to sleep under the African sky, sunset drinks and breakfasts along the gorgeous river systems, outings that focus on specific elements of the African bush and many more activities that are not often available.
